National Award For Surapaneni Sesharatnam Garu

Noted Hindi Scholar, writer, former HOD, Dept of Hindi, A.U. Prof. Surapaneni Sesharatnam is a recipient of many National and International Awards. Some of them are - Hinditar Bhashi Hindi Lekhak Puraskar, Souhard Samman, Central Sahitya Academy award, World Hindu Samman (ministry of external affairs, govt of MP govt India). Recently she was honored by "Hindi Bhasha Samman" by Surya Samstan, New Delhi, "Smt. Urmila Mishra Smriti Sahiti Samman - 2015" by Madhya Bharatiya Hindi Sahitya Parishad, Gwaliyar.
"Ganga Saran Singh Puraskar" was constituted by central institute of Hindi, Agra, ministry oh HRD, Govt of India. The award is given for exceptional contribution to Hindi language and literature. She has done 4 UGC research projects and translated reputed Telugu books into Hindi & Hindi books into Telugu keeping the national interest in view. She has presented valuable research papers on various literary aspects in many national & international seminars and conferences.
"Ganga Saran Singh Puraskar" is presented to prof. Surapaneni Sesharatnam on 30.05.2017 by the President of India Shri Pranab Mukharjee in Rastrapati Bhavan. The award consists of Rs.5,00,000/- cash and citation.
